   Prawn and shrimp are 2 different animals from the same family so either can be correct or incorrect depending on which you actually have.

    Shrimp are smaller than prawn and more firm. Prawn are larger and sweeter than shrimp. What you are cooking would definitely be shrimp, they are way to small to be considered prawns.
