Smoked Chili Cheese Dogs

In this episode, we’re making smoked chili cheese dogs using easy ingredients like hot dogs, buns, shredded cheese, and even chili straight from a can. Smoke it, load it up, and you’ve got a rich, messy, comfort food classic with barely any effort.

🔥 Smoked Chili Cheese Dogs

🛒 Ingredients (4–6 dogs)
4–6 hot dogs
4–6 hot dog buns
1-2 cans of chili (I used Jack Link’s Original no beans)
1–1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
Diced onion
Sliced Jalapeños
Yellow Mustard

🔥 Smoker Setup
Temp: 250–275°F
Wood: I used Apple BBQ pellets

👨‍🍳 Step-by-Step
1️⃣ Smoke the hot dogs
👉Score tops of hot dogs to absorb more smoke
Place hot dogs directly on the grates.
Smoke 20–30 minutes until:
Skin tightens
Light color change

2️⃣ Warm the chili
While dogs are smoking:
Put chili in a small pan on the smoker
Heat until hot (about 15–20 minutes)

3️⃣ Build the dogs
Place smoked hot dogs in buns.
Top with:
Warm chili
Shredded cheese

4️⃣ Melt it
Put assembled dogs back on the smoker for 5–10 minutes until cheese melts.

5️⃣ Serve
Add toppings like onions, jalapeños, mustard, and serve hot.
