🍗 Creamy Pepper Sauce Chicken Drumsticks
🧾 Ingredients
6–8 chicken drumsticks
Salt and black pepper (to taste)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
2 tbsp oil or butter
1 small onion (finely chopped)
3–4 garlic cloves (minced)
1 tsp crushed black pepper (adjust to taste)
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream (or fresh cream)
1 tbsp flour (optional, for thicker sauce)
1 tsp soy sauce (optional, adds depth)
Fresh parsley or coriander (for garnish)
👩🍳 Instructions
1. Season & sear the chicken
Pat the drumsticks dry and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Heat oil in a pan and sear the drumsticks on medium-high heat until golden brown on all sides (about 6–8 minutes). Remove and set aside.
2. Build the flavor base
In the same pan, sauté onions until soft and slightly golden.
Add garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
3. Add pepper & broth
Stir in crushed black pepper and cook briefly.
Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the pan (this adds flavor).
4. Make it creamy
Lower the heat and add the cream.
(Optional: mix flour with a little water and stir in if you want a thicker sauce.)
5. Simmer with chicken
Return drumsticks to the pan. Cover and simmer on low heat for 20–25 minutes, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
6. Finish & garnish
Taste and adjust salt/pepper. Add a splash of soy sauce if desired.
Garnish with fresh herbs and serve warm.
