This is my second year growing this plant. The dark olive leaves, purple blooms with the pepper that start out dark purple-black and ripen to red makes this one of my most attractive plants. This year(from saved seeds) the peppers seem slightly larger. They have a good amount of heat for Thai peppers with a slightly sweet smoky taste when ripe red. My bestie is Mexican and she doesn't like a huge amount of heat, but of what I grow these are her favorite and she uses them in traditional Mexican cuisine. These are a keeper for me, they were good the first year and even better this year. Very pretty and unique looking plant, it's very ornamental and easy on the eyes, but also produces very nice and useful peppers. I also grow super hots, but this plant gets used the most in my cooking.
