I liked spicy food growing up, but for most of my life I was limited to some pretty basic sources of spiciness. Once I was gifted a bottle of Pain 100% sauce and I tried a dab of it on a chip, and thought it was way too spicy for me, at app 40,000 Scoville Heat Units. Figured I should probably stick in the 4-low 5 digit range like my favored El Yucateco sauces.
Well, I ordered some food from The Halal Guys several years ago and I was shocked at how spicy their red sauce was. I looked it up and it was more than twice as hot as the Pain sauce I used to think was too spicy. I started taking chances with hotter and hotter sauces and my current standard sauce is around 650,000 SHU.

Yeah their spice is hot, they always try to not give me as much as Iâm asking for. Which pisses me off a little bc then they start charging for itâĶ itâs hot in its own way I really like it. Now you got me craving it
