🛒 INGREDIENTS:-
1.5 cups (360 ml) Neutral Cooking Oil (Canola, Vegetable, or peanut)
4 tbsp Chili Flakes
2 tbsp Kashmiri Chili Powder (for that gorgeous, vibrant red color)
2 tbsp Chopped Garlic (approx. 1 head of garlic)
¼ cup Chopped Onion
1-inch piece Ginger (chopped)
2 tbsp Chopped Coriander Stems (finely chopped for an earthy undertone)
1 whole Cinnamon Stick
1 pieces Star Anise
1 tsp Whole Black Pepper
2 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Sugar
Infuse the Oil: –
Heat your 1.5 cups of cooking oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Add the cinnamon stick, 2 star anise, 1 tsp whole black pepper,2 tbsp chopped garlic , ¼ cup chopped onion, ginger, and 2 tbsp coriander stems. Simmer gently for 7-8 minutes until the aromatics turn golden and fragrant. Prep the Spice Bowl: –
In a large heatproof glass or ceramic bowl, mix the 4 tbsp chili flakes, 2 tbsp Kashmiri chili powder, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp sugar, and 1 tbsp soy sauce.
The Magic Sizzle:-
Carefully pour the hot oil and fried garlic directly over your prepared spice bowl. It will bubble, sizzle, and release an incredible aroma!
