I have eaten spicy food for the better part of 20 years. At 15, I tried my first hot sauce, or what I considered hot at the time anyway
3 weeks ago, I convinced my brothers to try dried Carolina reaper peppers with me. They were insanely hot, although I could handle them a little better than they could because I have somewhat of a tolerance
That brings me to this sauce. I got this bottle, which is advertised as 8 million scovilles (roughly 4x hotter than Carolina reaper peppers) and had one of my brother try this with me. I wanted a fairly big dose, so I used roughly a little less than 1/2 of a teaspoon
Holy shit. The burn is immediate. My ears started hurting and itching at the same time. My sinuses ran like a dam broke, and I had to laugh so that I didn't wince. It was insanely hot!
It didn't last as long as I thought it would though. The taste is actually pretty damn good, and I can't wait to try it on some lentil tacos
8/10 taste
9.8/10 heat
Edit: semantics
