    Sun scalding

Were they exposed to the sun where the rot is?

If they were shaded then blossom end rot.

It is 100% sunscald. Blossom end rot is rarer in peppers as opposed to tomatoes (but of course it can happen), and it is so named because it literally causes rot beginning with the blossom end of the fruit (the bottom). You can see that all of these peppers haven’t begun to rot from the bottom, they’re all still green at the blossom end. Any with BER would have the rot starting there and moving up the pepper

Sunscald starts as white/yellowish, papery patches on the fruit where the sun is hitting it too directly, and it will eventually rot like you see in this as the tissue degrades
