Took home a Golden Chili and 1st Place People’s Preference at ZestFest for my hot honey! Still on cloud nine.


Hey fellow pepperheads,

I’ve been lurking here for a long time, learning from your reviews, setups, and recommendations. A little while ago, I finally took the plunge into commercial small-batch making with my brand, Chingon Squeezins, out of Northeast Texas.

I entered my Texas Fire & Fang Hot Honey into ZestFest in Fort Worth, and I honestly just hoped to get some good feedback.

Instead, we ended up walking away with the Golden Chili Award (Condiments – Honey) AND 1st Place People's Preference! 🏆

I wanted to make a hot honey that didn't just taste like clover honey with a dash of extract—I wanted real depth, a bright pepper kick, and that perfect sweet-heat balance that leaves you wanting another bite. To have the judges and the crowd validate it like this is absolutely surreal.

Just wanted to share the win with the community that kept my obsession fueled.
