I picked up a jalapeno start today from TSC. It was pretty root bound in a very small, clear nursery cup. A little droopy, but had some small fruits so I figured I'd give it a try.
I re-potted it in a 1 gallon plastic pot (drainage holes on bottom) with my go-to veggie soil and some tomato and veg granular fertilizer.
I do have an extra 2.5 gallon pot I can transplant into instead. But is it better to let it get situated in the one gallon first or should I just move it into the larger pot now?
(Also please excuse the state of my garden around it, my other peppers behind are living transiently in the garage at night and weeds are overgrown.. having lots of pest pressure at the moment and can't do much to fix it outside until the smoke clears).
