EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14) — A unique dining and nightlife concept has officially crossed the border. María Titina, a restaurant and lounge concept that originated in Chihuahua, Mexico, recently opened its doors in West El Paso, bringing a vibrant blend of Mexican and international cuisine, pop-culture-inspired cocktails, and live music to the Sun City.

Representative Leo Morales spoke about the expansion and what local diners can expect from the venue.

The restaurant’s name carries a personal backstory. According to Morales, the original location in Chihuahua took over a space previously named Ernesto’s.

“María Titina, it’s María Ernestina, the daughter of Ernesto,” Morales shared. “She inherited the restaurant and put her name on it. That’s why it’s María Titina.”

Following two successful years of operation in Chihuahua, the team decided to bring the concept to El Paso to offer the local dining scene something fresh and distinct.
