JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The Mississippi Food Network (MFN) announced Karli Coughlin was named the organization’s new chief executive officer.
According to MFN, Coughlin was selected for her more than two decades of experience in food systems, supply chain management and community engagement.
Coughlin previously worked with MFN during college. She holds a Master of Agribusiness Management from Mississippi State University (MSU), where her graduate program included a food pantry internship with MFN.
Coughlin began working as CEO of MFN in June 2026 and previously worked as manager of Innovation at Tyson Foods where she helped build a program bringing more than $1 billion in diverse spending to Tyson.
As the CEO of MFN, Coughlin will look to coordinate the foundation’s efforts to provide resources across their 430 partner agencies, including pantries, shelters, churches and community organizations, to distribute food and resources to Mississippians in need.
“This mission matters deeply to me,” Coughlin said. “Hunger relief is about more than food. It is about helping families find their footing, helping children learn, helping seniors stay healthy, and helping communities grow stronger — because Mississippi’s greatest resource has always been its people, and every one of them deserves the chance to succeed.”
Currently, MFN provides resources to more than 163,000 Mississippians each month.
