THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WCTV) – A quiet Thursday morning was shattered when a tire flew off a truck and crashed through the front window of a Thomasville seafood restaurant.
The tire came off a Ram truck that was driving down Jackson Street just before 9 a.m. Thursday, according to Thomasville Police.
Moments later, the tire slammed into the front of OMG Seafood, leaving a large hole in the restaurant’s window.

Inside, the impact destroyed three menu TVs hanging above the front counter, damaged the ceiling and left a large dent in the wall behind the counter.

Nezadriana Lee, who owns the restaurant with her family, said the damage could have been much worse if the restaurant had been open at the time.
“Usually, this is where my mom sits. So, if she would have been sitting there, it would have messed her up pretty bad,” she said.
That same day, the restaurant replaced the damaged window.
While additional repairs are needed, the family-owned business was determined to keep serving customers. OMG Seafood planned to open at noon Friday for the lunch rush.
As far as the investigation regarding the incident, it is ongoing.
