A Very Different Dress Code
Chef and owner Maurad Ali has said the restaurant needs to stand out in a difficult restaurant market, and the nude dinners have become one way to get people talking about C.L.A.S.S. Soirée.
The nude dinner is not a surprise event where unsuspecting customers walk in and suddenly discover a room full of naked diners. It is a separate, adults-only experience specifically designed for people who want to participate.
Guests arrive at the restaurant and can change into a robe before deciding how far they want to take the clothing-free experience. Anyone who wants to stay covered can do so. Going completely nude is optional.
The restaurant also provides towels and seat coverings to keep things comfortable and sanitary. The dining setup is limited in size, with the original event planned for about 20 guests.
The Food Is Still The Main Event
With a concept this wild, it would be easy for the food to become an afterthought. C.L.A.S.S. Soirée has made it clear that is not the case.
The nude dining experience comes with a five-course meal, champagne, and a steakhouse-style menu. As reported by local publication Sun Sentinel, recent menus have included grass-fed filet mignon, Florida lobster tail, vegetable spring rolls, truffle mac and cheese, French-style mashed potatoes, beignets and ice cream.
There Are Some Rules
Naturally, a restaurant full of naked adults needs some ground rules.
The experience is for adults 18 and older. Guests are expected to respect personal boundaries and unwanted physical contact is not allowed. The restaurant also keeps its staff fully clothed.
The restaurant’s windows are also arranged so people outside cannot simply look in and watch dinner unfold. That helps keep the experience separate from the normal restaurant crowd and gives guests a little more privacy.
According to WPLG News, the city of Hollywood has also confirmed that the concept is legal under the setup being used, with the restaurant’s employees remaining clothed.
How Much Does Naked Dinner Cost?
This is definitely not a $20 dinner special. Recent reports list tickets at $150 for women and $250 for men. Couples can attend for $300. The price covers the special dining experience and the multi-course meal.
The dinner is held on the first Monday of the month, and the next reported event is scheduled for September 7th, running from 7PM to 10PM.
Reservations are required, so you can’t just turn up at the door without clothes.
