When picturing a hotel bar or restaurant, I usually picture a dimly lit room with maybe four tables and a couple of stools at a bar, but that’s admittedly unfair. They can be incredibly nice.
In fact, certain hotels and resorts have some of the leading dining spots in the country.
USA Today is on the hunt to find which locations have the cream of the crop, with their panel of experts putting out a list of 20 incredible hotel or resort restaurants, which will ultimately be narrowed down to the Top 10.

Two New Jersey restaurants are in the running, and with your vote they could make it into the 10Best.
First up, Halifax at W Hotel at 225 River Street in Hoboken, NJ.

At Halifax, Chef Season Shouse smokes meats and seafood in house, dry-ages steaks, makes authentic vermouth, and even uses sea salt from water straight out of Montauk.
Bonus: the view. Enjoy your meal while taking in the sights of the Manhattan skyline.
Also a contender for the 10Best is Kuro at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, NJ.

Kuro serves new-style Japanese cuisine using locally sourced and imported ingredients from Japan.
Diners can pair sushi, tempura, grilled meats, and fresh seafood with an assortment of Japanese whisky, shochu, sake, and wine.

The term “dive bar” used to be something derogatory. Nowadays it’s more of a badge of honor to say to own one, go to one, or work at one.
We started in South Jersey, stopped A LOT in Central Jersey and ended in North Jersey. We left out the Jersey Shore bar because there are just too many to choose from. If your favorite isn’t on the list, don’t be offended, just tell us about it. Here we go…
