Friday and Saturday, Feb. 6 and 7 at 11 a.m.—KILLINGTON — Vermont-made food and drink will take center stage in the Killington area this weekend as Ski Vermont’s Specialty Food Day Tour makes back-to-back stops at both Killington Resort and Pico Mountain, giving skiers and riders two chances to sample some of the state’s best local products right at the base lodges.
The first stop takes place Friday, Feb. 6, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Killington’s K-1 Lodge. The tour returns the following day, Saturday, Feb. 7, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Pico Base Lodge. Both events are free to visit for guests spending the day on the mountain.
Ski Vermont’s Specialty Food Day Tour travels to ski areas across the state each season, pairing winter recreation with a relaxed, marketplace-style showcase of Vermont producers. Visitors can sample, shop, and chat directly with makers offering everything from snacks and sweets to beverages and specialty foods.
At both locations, participating vendors will include Butterfly Bakery of Vermont, Chimera Meats, Green Mountain Peanut Butter, Kran Creations, Mad River Distillers, New England Dairy, Runamok Maple, Small Oven Pastries, St. Johnsbury Distillery, Tilia Tea Company, Vermont Hard Seltzer Company, Vermont Marshmallow Company, Woodchuck Hard Cider, and 802 Coffee, along with Ski Vermont featuring Cabot Cheese.
Both stops are designed to complement a day on the slopes, inviting guests to “come for the skiing and riding, stay for the local finds.” With tastings, browsing, and easy access right at the base lodges, the events highlight how Vermont’s food culture and outdoor recreation continue to go hand in hand.
