Anyone looking forward to waiting in line for the strangest food creation of the year will enjoy sipping a Kraft Dinner smoothie, indulging in a pickle cheesecake pop or trying the CNE’s new signature cotton candy hot sauce in various food items.
The hot sauce creation can be enjoyed in the form of a spicy cheese foam on top of fries or an oversized Korean fried chicken spicy ramen taco. If you’re more of a sweet tooth, try a mango habanero or nacho donut courtesy of Marry Me Mochi.
Other unusual foods to be unveiled by Canadian National Exhibition organizers Friday include:
Pickle or bacon-flavoured coffee.
“The Szechuan Sizzle” spice cream.
Cotton Candy Kickin’ Chicken.
Jamaican beef patty mini pierogies.
Footlong butter chicken taquito.
Brie cheese deep fried Oreos.
Sweetcorn wasabi lemonade.

To the moon and back: Astronaut Jeremy Hansen to take part in public Q&A
Astronaut Jeremy Hansen, who travelled around the moon aboard the Artemis II mission a few months ago, will be part of the CNE’s opening ceremonies Friday. Afterwards, visitors might be able to ask the first Canadian to ever take part in a lunar mission a question or two.
The Ex will also include an Artemis II Journey photo exhibition as part of a collaboration with the Canadian Space Agency.
