Hi everyone. Capsaicin, the compound in hot chilis that gives them their intense heat, is also a profound anti inflammatory. Capsaicin is an antioxidant, so it tamps down inflammation. There is evidence that capsaicin tamps down insulin spiking, boosts metabolism, can reduce LDL cholesterol and blood pressure, and improves gut health.
