Taco Bell launches Chicken Enchilada Nacho Fries and energy drinks

Taco Bell is rolling out four new menu items nationwide, including a loaded version of its Nacho Fries and three caffeinated beverages, the company said.

Taco Bell’s Chicken Enchilada Nacho Fries top the chain’s seasoned fries with slow-roasted chicken and enchilada sauce, finished with a three-cheese blend, fiesta tortilla strips, pico de gallo, and a drizzle of sour cream. The item is priced at $5.49 and is available for a limited time, the company said.

The three new energy drinks each contain 120 milligrams of caffeine and vitamin B. The Strawberry Tropics Energy Refresher and the Pineapple Citrus Energy Refresher are each available in 20-ounce servings for $4.49. A frozen version, the Pineapple Citrus Energy Freeze, is available in 16-ounce and 20-ounce sizes for $3.99 and $4.29, respectively.

The drinks are additions to a beverage menu that already features options such as Agua Refrescas and Rockstar Energy Refrescas, according to Nation’s Restaurant News. Taco Bell has set a goal of reaching $5 billion in annual beverage sales by 2030.

Within the beverages category, energy drinks have emerged as the fastest-growing subcategory, with Technomic data showing that menu mentions climbed 45.8% between 2020 and 2025, according to Nation’s Restaurant News. Taco Bell is not alone in chasing the trend — McDonald’s debuted a Red Bull Dragonberry Energizer drink earlier this month, and Panera rolled out its own Energy Refreshers lineup back in March.

Taco Bell has made several limited-time menu moves this year. The chain launched a Shredded Beef Dipping Taco and Shredded Beef Nacho Fries in May, with the latter also priced at $5.49. Both items drew on birria, the slow-braised, seasoned beef dish traditionally served with a rich broth for dipping.
