Letting the burn go feels so much worse?


Was having [these korean spicy noodles](https://imgur.com/a/kB3pCZr) for lunch today, and these are plenty spicy enough for me without being really uncomfortable (weak, I know). Today I got the bright idea of the letting the mouth burn “take over”. After quickly eating 2 packs of these, I sat in my chair and effectively drooled into a garbage can for the next 3 minutes, resisting the urge to swallow, breathe too fast, drink water, or whatever. Just focusing on the burn.

My god it was so much worse I almost couldn’t handle it, the burn from the noodles which are typically like a 6 for me felt like they went to a 10, but then subsided pretty quickly after the pain reached a climax.

I don’t even know what I’m writing about anymore, or what the point of this post was, but I don’t think I’m ever doing that again with spicy food in general. Anybody else try this?
