A second location of chicken wing chain 6ixty Wings is on the books after the city’s first opened just this year, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Registration. In fact, the first San Antonio 6ixty Wings location appears to be the only one of this Canadian chain that’s up and running in the United States. However, according to the website’s location list, additional spots are coming down the line to Houston and Dallas, as well as London, Dubai, Sydney and New Delhi — quite the footprint.
What makes it stand out from other local eateries (such as the wing spot R&B star Chris Brown visited ahead of his recent Alamodome concert) is that 6ixty Wings features, you guessed it, 60 flavors of sauces ranging from honey garlic to Cajun and more. Though some flavors are milder, the spiciest is the killer heat variant, which reads ominously on the menu as “The Hottest We’ve Got. Find Out For Yourself.” Personally, we’ll leave that to y’all.
But other than its wide array of flavors, what might raise eyebrows about the latest eatery coming to the Alamo City is where it’s slated. According to the filing, folks will be able to find it on the Far Westside of the city, situated at the corner of Culebra Road and Alamo Parkway. That’s an area businesses have recently had their eyes on, including the upcoming multimillion-dollar, 54,100 square-foot Portico at Shaenfield Ranch shopping center. Also in the works is the Galm Crossing shopping center on Culebra and Old FM 471, bringing with it a Sprouts Farmers Market and other yet-to-be-announced stores.
So, when can we expect some sizzling wings on the Far Westside? The TDLR filing gives us a clue that renovations to turn an existing space into the restaurant will begin on February 1, 2026, and will wrap up around the end of June (as if summer in Texas wasn’t hot enough without the buffalo sauce).
