A new ice cream parlor is in the works for Loudoun County – and it will be the first location for the growing brand in the state of Virginia.
It’s called the Kwality –and it’s going to open in a small space in the Moorefield Village shopping center off Loudoun County Parkway in Ashburn.
That’s the small retail center that sits next to the long vacant Harris Teeter grocery store building.
Kwality is going into a space next to the Y-Tea bubble tea shop on Amendola Terrace.
Kwality currently has more than 40 locations open or in the works in 19 states across the country.
The brand specializes in ice creams in more than 50 flavors – including classics such as Strawberry, Vanilla, Butter Pecan, Rum Raisin, and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.

But the brand also branches out into a wide variety of unique flavors – including kulfi ice cream – a treat popular in India. Some of these flavors include Cardamom Pista, Tender Coconut, Black Currant, and Mawa Cake.

Despite the vacant grocery store near by, there is a lot happening in the Moorefield center.
Besides the impending arrival of Kwality, we are also waiting for the opening date of the new Royal Biryani House restaurant that The Burn has reported on. And there are plans for another new restaurant called Lemongrass Thai.
Plus, behind the vacant supermarket, a new gas station and convenience store is under construction.
