More than 30 restaurants will share their culinary delights during Savor the South Shore Restaurant Weeks.
The fun starts Feb. 23 through March 8 at restaurants from Gary to Michigan City.
“Savor the South Shore is all about celebrating the incredible creativity of our local restaurants while giving diners a fun reason to explore new favorites,” said Phil Taillon, president and CEO of the South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority, in a press release. “It’s a win-win — you enjoy great meals at a great value, and our restaurants get the spotlight they deserve.”
Diners can use the South Shore Passport app to check in at participating restaurants for a chance to win a $250 prize package. The winner will be chosen the week after the weeks end.
Restaurants will prepare a special restaurant weeks menu. For example, Culinary Misfits in Crown Point is offering a sashimi scallops on the half shell, a New York strip steak and cheesecake for dine-in customers who mention “restaurant weeks.”

According to the National Restaurant Association, Indiana’s eating and drinking places contributed $28 billion to the state’s economy and employed almost 300,000 workers in 2025.
