Looking Ahead‘The Art of Eating’
New editions of M.F.K. Fisher’s works in “The Art of Eating” series — “How to Cook a Wolf,” “An Alphabet for Gourmets” and the “The Gastronomical Me” — will be published on Oct. 27 by Picador, with new introductions by writers like Tamar Adler, Alison Roman and Bryan Washington. On Nov. 3, “Serve it Forth” and “Consider the Oyster” will be added to the series, with new jackets.

After the broilers at Porter House Bar & Grill in the Shops at Columbus Circle went cold about a year ago, the question has been, “Who’s next?” The brothers Joshua and David Foulquier, of Chez Fifi, Sushi Noz and Noz Market on the Upper East Side, will move in and open their vision of a steak house in 2027. Meat from various countries will be grilled over charcoal, the current trend. They honored their mother with Chez Fifi; here it’s their father’s turn.

A lovely taste of Cambodia on the Upper East Side, with atmospheric décor to boot, closed its current location, where it’s been for two years, on Aug. 3. The chef has announced his retirement on the website.
Le Petit Parisien Supper Club
The East 78th Street outpost of this very French sandwich and croissant cafe by day, candlelit dining room by night has closed. Another location for the group (with a different owner) at 1035 Third Avenue (62nd Street), and the original 11-year-old flagship in the East Village (32 East Seventh Street) remain open but do not serve dinner.
