There is a bit of strategy that goes into setting up a farmers market stand. It isn’t only about bringing good produce, yet that helps tremendously. It’s about making it easy for shoppers to see, understand and buy what we have grown.
Early on in our market selling adventure, we learned the phrase “Stack ‘em High and Watch ‘em Fly.” A full, abundant display catches the eye, and it gives the customers the feeling that there is plenty to choose from. We mix colors on the table to look bright, attractive and interesting. A colorful display naturally draws people in and gives them a reason to stop and take a closer look.
