TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Police Department said a man was cut on his face and robbed after his car broke down on Highway 169.

Around 6:19 p.m. on Tuesday, authorities said they were called out to a report of an armed robbery on northbound Highway 169 near the 71st Street exit.

At the scene, officers said the victim told them he’d been driving his white 2017 RAM Promaster van and decided to pull over onto the shoulder when it started experiencing mechanical problems.

Police said as the victim was examining his car, a black Dodge Charger with a dark window tint pulled up behind the victim’s car.

Authorities said two men got out of the car and approached the victim, pretending they had pulled over to help.

When the suspects reached the victim, officers said one of the suspects reached into the victim’s pockets and stole a wallet containing cash and his debit cards.

Police said the second suspect pulled out a knife and cut the victim on the face before both suspects fled.

The department said they’re still searching for the suspects involved in this robbery.

According to police, both suspects were described as men in their 30s who are around 5’7″ with medium builds and short dreadlocks.

Officers said both suspects were described as wearing black shorts, while one man wore a white shirt and the other wore a red shirt.

The department said the suspect’s car was described as a black Dodge Charger with dark tinted windows and a red tag.

It was last seen traveling northbound on Highway 169 past the 71st Street exit.

Authorities are asking anyone who was driving on Highway 169 on Tuesday around 6:20 p.m. near the 71st Street exit who might have dashcam video of the suspect car to reach out to authorities.

Anyone else with additional information about this case is asked to call Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
