A while back I made a post asking for suggestions for hot sauce and spicy snacks in Japan as I was planning a trip. I don't recall which of you folks dropped the suggestion, but today I made my way through the chaos of Takeshita Street in search of Hot Sauce Bar. I don't know why I thought it would be bigger, but it's a small shop tucked into a side street. The girl that helped me was from Argentina and spoke excellent English and Japanese. I tasted my way through their entire lineup! It's mostly imports, but there were a handful of Japanese sauces, all of which were very good. There was nothing they that really smoked me out, but after tasting that many sauces in a row, I was pretty lit up by the end of the gauntlet. No significant purchases for me today as I still have a couple weeks left of travel and I don't want to weigh myself down. My last couple days will be in Tokyo again, and I'm definitely going back to stock up before I head back to Canada. So thanks again to whichever of you spicy bastards suggested this place to me!
Also, that area of Harajuku is nuts!

That one right there, the yuzu one, is my all-time favourite hot sauce ever, and I think it’s the most unique one they sell. You can get other yuzu hot sauces, and I haven’t tried those, but I do really love that one and think it’s great

So they were ok with you trying their lineup and not buying? In Tokyo myself so curious
