The Caribbean Food and Wine Festival is a good excuse to head to Turks and Caicos this fall

Early November is shoulder season for Turks and Caicos, which means fewer crowds and lower prices, but it’s actually the best time to visit these Caribbean islands. It’s the tail end of the hurricane season, and the weather is warm without being overly hot. Not only that, but it’s also when they hold the Caribbean Food and Wine Festival each year.

This year, the Caribbean Food and Wine Festival will be held on Nov 3-8 across Providenciales. They’re bringing in the winner of 2025 Michelin Guide Northeast Cities Young Chef Award winner, Chef India Doris from Markette in New York City as a guest chef. Chef Doris will prepare a four-course dinner at Rock House on November 5, but the multi-day festival will also have many other delicious events.

A mainstay offering of the festival is a Gourmet Safari around local restaurants, where guests will head on a food crawl between four dining destinations (transportation provided).

My favorite part of last year’s festival was Salt, Sand & Fire, which this year will be held on Saturday, November 7. This dinner boasts the Caribbean’s longest chef’s table set on the sands of the famous Grace Bay beach right in front of Grace Bay Club. It’s a such a beautiful setup with great food and drinks. The night will feature a beach BBQ with plenty of wine and entertainment (yes, there will be fire dancing).

Other events this year include a jerk festival at Turks Head Brewery, wine tasting experiences, and more. The festival ends with a Veuve Clicquot brunch held at South Bank. Individual events are ticketed separately. Find the full schedule and purchase tickets here.
