CHICKASHA, Okla. –

A Chickasha police lieutenant was arrested on Friday following an Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation investigation into allegations involving child sexual abuse material and juveniles.

Investigators said 39-year-old Jeremy Alexander was arrested Oct. 9 by the U.S. Marshals Service and booked into the Grady County Jail on 27 charges.

Alexander faces 12 counts of indecent exposure to a minor, 14 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and one count of child abuse, according to OSBI.

Investigation began in February

Officials said the investigation began on Feb. 9, 2026, when the Chickasha Police Department requested OSBI assistance with allegations involving possession of child pornography.

During the investigation, OSBI special agents said they identified Alexander, who was a lieutenant with the Chickasha Police Department, as the suspect.

Investigators determined that Alexander had engaged in inappropriate communication with a juvenile and physically assaulted another juvenile, according to the OSBI.

Authorities said as the investigation continued, agents obtained multiple search warrants and discovered evidence that Alexander possessed and received images of child sexual abuse material.

Based on the investigation’s findings, officials said the Grady County District Court issued an arrest warrant for Alexander.

U.S. Marshals arrest Alexander

On Friday, Oct. 9, the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Alexander without incident.

“The United States Marshals Service received a request to assist with a warrant of Jeremy Alexander,” said United States Marshal Johnny Khulman, with the Western District of Oklahoma. “Our Fugitive Task Force immediately responded and took Alexander into custody without incident. We appreciate the assistance from the OSBI, along with our other law enforcement partners in Grady County.”

The OSBI credited the U.S. Marshals Service, Grady County Sheriff’s Office, Grady County District Attorney’s Office and District 3 and 6 Task Forces for assisting with the investigation.

Alexander is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

This is a developing story.
