Two San Antonio restaurants earned spots in the 2026 MICHELIN Guide Texas, bringing the city’s total to 16 recognized restaurants.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio’s food scene just added two more reasons to make dinner reservations.

Lovers Pizzeria and Petit Coquin have earned spots in the 2026 MICHELIN Guide Texas, adding fresh recognition to the Alamo City’s growing culinary reputation, Visit San Antonio announced Thursday.

The two restaurants received MICHELIN Recommended recognition, a designation distinct from earning a MICHELIN Star. Their additions bring San Antonio’s total to 16 restaurants recognized in the guide, which includes 149 restaurants across Texas this year.

Whether you’re in the mood for a pizza night or looking to try something new, the latest additions give local food lovers two more names to add to their dining lists.

“San Antonio’s culinary scene continues to grow and evolve, and we’re thrilled to see two more of our outstanding restaurants recognized by The MICHELIN Guide,” Visit San Antonio President and CEO Mario Bass said.

Bass said the recognition highlights the range of restaurants and culinary talent that make the city appealing to both visitors and locals.

San Antonio’s newest MICHELIN Guide picks

Lovers Pizzeria and Petit Coquin are the two new San Antonio restaurants recognized in this year’s guide.

They join a lineup spanning contemporary dining, barbecue, neighborhood favorites and other culinary experiences that reflect the city’s food culture.

San Antonio’s MICHELIN Guide recognition is divided into three categories: One Star, Bib Gourmand and Recommended. The Recommended designation recognizes restaurants included in the guide without a Star or Bib Gourmand distinction.

The latest recognition adds to San Antonio’s reputation as a destination for food, including its designation as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.

Visit San Antonio officials said the MICHELIN Guide helps raise the city’s profile among travelers who consider dining when choosing where to visit. The organization pointed to research showing that MICHELIN-recognized dining can influence travel plans and visitor spending.

For locals, the new additions offer another excuse to explore the city’s restaurant scene, and maybe discover a new favorite along the way.
