The Heron Pub on Esthwaite Avenue, Heron Hill, Kendal, has earned praise from customers on Tripadvisor for its food, value, and friendly atmosphere.
The dog-friendly pub offers Sky & BT Sports, classic pub games, and weekly events including quiz nights and live music.
One reviewer said: “Great value Sunday lunch – tasty, cooked well, friendly service – great atmosphere.
“Loads of screens if that’s what you want but they’re not intrusive.
“It’s my local so I’m biased a bit but the owners are really making a go of it – it’s really a fabulous family pub.”
Another customer highlighted the pub’s lively weekend atmosphere and entertainment.
They said: “Fantastic atmosphere coupled with fantastic food and great value for money.
“If it’s pub grub or Sunday lunch with all the trimmings the food is just gorgeous and if you want the best gravy we’ll look no further I could drink it from the jug.
