After closing its location at 54 Railroad Place in May, Westport’s Allium Eatery has announced the address of its new spot.

Allium will be moving into Bedford Square at 34 Elm St. in the former home of Gogi Korean Steakhouse, which closed earlier this year with ownership opening Galbi Korean Steakhouse in Shelton.

“After months of searching, dreaming and negotiating, we’re absolutely delighted to share that we’ve found our new forever home,” owner Michelle Greenfield and sous chef Norah Harrington wrote in a statement on Instagram. “As we design and develop our new space, our focus will be on preserving the best parts of what has always made Allium special: welcoming hospitality, locally sourced ingredients, signature dishes and libations, and, of course, always something new. Most importantly, we’re creating a cozy, inviting space where people can gather, share a meal, slow down, and enjoy each other’s company.”

The duo said that details regarding the new restaurant and its opening would come soon.

Opening in Westport in 2021, the original Allium was known for its intimate, 20-seat dining area. Its menu had new items appear weekly depending on the different ingredients brought to the restaurant. In the spring, ownership announced that the restaurant had outgrown its space and would be moving.
