Phoenix-based Steak 48, which gets its name from Arizona being the 48th state, has announced its arrival in Dallas. The opening date is still TBD, but the 14,000-square-foot, two-story steakhouse will be located at the corner of McKinney and Monticello Avenues between Knox Street and Highland Park. The restaurant will feature a floor-to-ceiling glass-walled kitchen allowing guests to see every bit of the behind-the-scenes action. Menu favorites include the Chef’s Cut Hanging Bacon, crispy shrimp deviled eggs, an extensive raw bar, traditional caviar service, responsibly sourced fresh seafood, and an extensive selection of 28-day, wet-aged steaks, including Wagyu and A5 wine-fed Kobe
Made by Marge began in 2023 as a side hustle for 28-year-old founder Margaret “Marge” Peus, who started selling her small-batch cookies at the St. Michael’s Farmers Market. They became a major hit, and people returned each week for more, so in January 2026 Peus left her full-time corporate gig to grow the business. Now, two flavors of her frozen, ready-to-bake cookie dough—Original Chocolate Chip and S’mores—will be on shelves at Central Market locations across DFW and throughout Texas. Soon, you can have bakery-quality, hot-from-the-oven cookies on-demand, one cookie or one dozen at a time.
