Makes 8 bowls. Great recipe to freeze leftovers.
1lb to 1.5lbs of ground beef (brown it first)
1 jar of salsa (you can use mild, medium or hot)
2 8oz cans OR 1 16oz can of tomato sauce
1 packet of chili seasoning (I use McCormicks)
2 cans (15 oz) of chili beans in mild sauce (do not drain)
2 cans (15 oz) OR 1 can (30oz) of pinto beans (do not drain)
I always use a crockpot liner for easy clean up. Put crockpot liner on, dump everything in, stir. Put lid on, set crock pot on low and let it cook 6-8 hours. If you do everything in the morning, dinner is ready by the time you get home.
Garnish with anything you like: cheese, sour cream, scallions.
