I have to get some animal stuff taken care of and then off to get groceries at Aldi, Walmart & The Dollar Tree. I go to more stores so I can get the best deals at each stop!
I detail a few food buying tips throughout the day and explained the latest with the animals on our homestead in today’s video, so I hope you will check it out!

And, here’s the chili recipe I promised!!
Homestead Turkey Chili
1.5 lb ground turkey, browned
2 TBS chili powder
1 TBS salt
1 TBS sugar
4 C black beans, equivalent to two cans
3 32 oz cans crushed tomatoes
Brown turkey, and add 1 TBS chili powder and 1 TBS salt to meat.
Once browned, add tomatoes, beans, remaining 1 TBS chili powder, & 1 TBS sugar.
Let simmer for at least 30 minutes.
Can be made in instant pot or slow cooker as well!
