Salsa de aguacate – avocado and tomatillo sauce

Grew some tomatillos recently so I made a sauce. Recipe is from my mother in law who is from Michoacan. It’s fantastic with BBQ’d meat and is usually made for BBQs she says, but I’ll be eating this with quesadillas and other food as it’s delicious.

As with any good recipe it’s all approximate and to taste.

1 avocado
6-8 tomatillos (raw)
3-4 jalapenos, (seeds removed, but not the seed pith)
Juice of half a lime
A splash of milk
Quarter of a white salad onion (optional)
Salt

Stick it all in a blender.

Adjust to taste with salt, lime juice as needed.

Never forget to put lime or lemon! It won’t turn brown nearly as fast.
