I go to TB now maybe twice a year after they got rid of the “Big Bell Value Menu” Grande soft taco was always my go to, and recently after they changed prices, the beef and cheese only 1.89$ tacos I order (probably .10c at cost) aren’t justifiable in price, quality or portion. Also my order is wrong about 75% of the time.

This is someone else’s picture from ” This is what you get when you order ‘no lettuce’ from Taco Bell'”, but it’s dead on the money every single time I get TB

They read it, they just don’t care as long as they get the profits they want. People saying how expensive their order was is just people that bought stuff to them.
Taco Bell doesn’t care about Reddit posts. The only thing they care about is looking at how much money they are making. If you want to send them a message that their food is too expensive, you need to stop buying their food.
Every post I see has comments about the price being higher than usual.
Record profits
If you’ve been essentially doing almost no Bell for 13 years, what even brings you around to subreddit?
Doubt it because end of the day everyone still gonna go buy it.
Of course not, they are too busy counting their record profits while they take a dump on their customers.
According to the living mas leaks site, there are major menu changes coming in October, but who knows if that’s good or bad lol
People who order no lettuce deserve what they get. It’s literally half the fucking taco.
Stock isn’t far from its 52-week high, so, nah.
Sure, Yum Brands monitors social media, but it doesn’t have the major impact that actual financial information does. They’re going to continue raising prices as long as people are willing to pay it. Once they analyze that prices are hurting their bottom line, that could spur a change. Until then, Yum Brands CEO is more concerned about purchasing his 14th mansion and which Bentley he’s going to buy for his children’s first car.
If we post and complain they’ll ignore it.
If enough people stop going there, maybe they’ll look into the reason, and adjust prices.
I haven’t been back after paying almost $6 for a mosquito dick burrito. For about $2 more I could have gone to the taco truck by the auto parts store and got a burrito at least twice as big
They don’t care, they do browse reddit though to make sure people are staying in line, like when people posted here methods to get your items grilled through the app such as using past orders, they put a stop to that real quick.
Maybe, but it’s not gonna change anything
they 100% are aware of this sub and are monitoring it. That doesn’t mean they’re going to act on it as im sure there’s a lot going on in the background that we aren’t aware of. Their PNL, their promise to shareholders, inflation. Is it getting expensive AF, yes. Do they care we are pissed, yes. Will it change their pricing tactics, probably not as there’s still a fuck ton of people who are still eating there regularly.
Idk but seeing all those posts makes me want Taco Bell… BRB
Probably not, it seems they are making plenty of money. Virtually every time I am in line at the drive thru getting my sub-$10 order the car in front of me is spending at least $20-30. Some people aren’t very good at managing their money and just buy what they want, I’m convinced that some really don’t even pay any attention to menu prices.
And their bullshit quesadillas are $5 and they don’t even fill it up all the way, the end end pieces are just empty tortilla
Food prices have gone up everywhere, it’s not just Taco Bell. Taco Bell is still relatively cheap.
More for me
People on Reddit are notorious for overinflating the value of posts and commentary on Reddit. Same with the people on Twitter. Every now and again, there’s a small rumbling that makes it out of our little bubble and crosses into the mainstream conversation (see WallStreetBets and GameStop…💎👐🚀🌕), but otherwise we’re just a minor undercurrent. Do they have social media managers and analysts paying attention and making sure something doesn’t absolutely blow up their reputation? Yes. But for the vast majority of these types of complaints, saying absolutely nothing in an official capacity is far better than them replying and giving it more of a Streisand effect.
In regards to your specific question, people flapping their keyboard jaws about pricing likely has very little effect on anything they do. They have thousands of restaurants around the world. They have millions of customers. This post might get, what, 200 upvotes? Maybe 800 saw it, and a quarter upvoted. 8 hundred people out of millions of customers. There’s no good to come from responding unless they actually have a real response. And far more valuable to make their response into a full marketing campaign and be able to control it through press releases, advertising, and posts on their app/site.
All fast food has gone up…it just feels worse with TB due to how cheap it was before. Percentage wise it seems like the largest increase.
I doubt they pay attention much outside there stupid community vote Reddit posts tbh #boycottTB
I’ve seen TB support respond once in here to contact them about franchise price gouging.
They will react to the market and act accordingly.
