Coworker gifted this unknown pepper. They said it’s edible and sweet. I haven’t been able to find out what it is called. Any ideas?

Lightly fry in some oil until skin blisters,Salt and consume. Just wolfed down a whole pan curl myself
Just a ripe shishito. Could be mild or could be hot. You’ll find out.
Looks kind of like a variety of shishito pepper that ripened to red
I grew my Shishitos from some in the grocery store closeout bin. We ate pounds of the green. Now, there are hundreds of reds. I got tired of picking. All of the reds seem to be hot.

That’s a red shishito for sure. Most of them are very very mild, while a few of them become mild.
It’s got the vertical ridges like a shishito pepper.
