Help identifying type of pepper

Recently had a random pepper plant start growing in the back yard, so i decided to pot it! It’s now thriving quite nicely, but I’d really like to know what type of peppers they are… Google got quite confusing.

Also any advice/info around caring for it (or eating it!) would be appreciated, seeing how I’ve never grown a single “edible” plant in my life lol

Thanks!

Where are you approximately? Birds propagate pequin peppers where I live, most of the locals call them bird peppers

Definitely Birds Eye if you look them up. I have them as well and can’t use them fast enough. I use them in salsas and cooking where I need to keep the heat down.

My Thai pepper plant was identical to this picture, I miss it so much, only plant I could pick the fruit right off and eat it without going to the emergency room. My Habanero is some kind of a refined variety seed, and she tried to kill me.

These are Tabasco peppers. The colour, shape, size and how they’re attached to the calyx is very telling. Also the colour of the unripe pods and the orange hue of one of the pods that has just started ripening is very typical of Tabasco.

Red chili hot or Thai chili. Could be either
