Because if an Amazon mixup I was sold the wrong seeds and I should soon have a good amount of Jamaican mushroom peppers. None are ripe yet but the 7 plants are large and growing quite well. What does everyone think I should do with them? I can’t wait to see all the creative ideas from this more than enthusiastic community! Thanks in advance!

I’ve only been growing peppers for 2 years but have been doing a vegetable garden for about 5. But my first year doing peppers I did Jamaican red mushrooms that I got from territorialseed.com. They turned out friggin fantastic. In fact if I had to recommend a pepper for a first year pepper grower I would say JRM. They seem to be easy to grow and prolific. I want to say they are about as hot as a habanero, but have thin walls and are the perfect size for stuffing. I ended up taking all the ones I didn’t stuff/roast and freeze drying them and grinding them up into a nuclear orange/red chili powder that I gave away to a lot of people. This year I chose 7 different types of peppers to grow and JRM was one of them cause last year turned out so well. It’s also fun to present the very mushroom shaped ones to people and say “check out this mushroom”. 👍
Edit to add: I wonder what color you got?
I would try a fermented pepper mash and maybe experimenting with some hot sauce recipes. Check out the book Fiery Ferments to give you some ideas. If they’re way too hot for you, note that fermenting cools the heat down a notch and freezing the peppers before hand can take it down even further.
