They don’t sell well everywhere and idk why you haven’t heard about it we talk about it fairly often.

Some stores had it and got rid of it due to poor sales, some have never carried it. In both cases if customers made a case to their store manager and asked them to try carrying it for six months they might do it. There’s no good way to promote it so it would probably sell terribly and leave again in six months but at least you’d get six months out of it.

It’s decades old. Nothing new. Just limited because of some stores not wanting to stock the chili mix due to poor sales. But it didn’t just go away because it’s a huge seller in some markets.

Where are you that it’s $1.59??? It’s like $3.99 here and I’m in a lower COL midwest area.

Taco Bell hates some of their items, it seems like, they will take an item, hide it on the menu, make it online only, overprice it (moreso than everything else), and never ever advertise it ever. Then they will remove it from the menu due to “low sales”

    Victims:

Nachos supreme, Nachos belgrande, Quesarito, Mexican pizza, beef meximelt, double decker taco, CCB, grilled stuft burrito, steak soft taco.

Someone at taco bell picks an item they hate and makes sure it will not sell, and then removes it from the menu saying no one wanted it. Quesarito the most recent victim.

Online only, cant order at the window, isnt in any combos, was vastly overpriced, and was in the online only portion of the app. NoBoDy WaNtEd iT. Low sales! oh noes! how come? lol I bet Beefy 5 layer burritos are selling well. No one really likes them, but its in every combo. So taco bell must think its the best item ever cuz they sell so much.

Why not some advertising for the item before you remove it? Cuz removing it was the goal.

I wish it was this cheap here. Its 3.89 here

The best thing they’ve ever done and there’s zero TBs near me with it.

I am happy to see this is back, at least where you are. CCB with extra cheese was my jam back in the late 90s!!!

  8. Bcatfan08

We have it here. Love it. Add potatoes and sour cream.

I’m 35 and remember getting these when I was a kid

Love these things. Back when I worked there I would make myself Nacho Bell Grandes but replace the beef with the chili and I swear that needs to be a menu option anywhere that carries the chili burrito.

That looks nasty as fuck, odd that they would use this photo to market it. It’s much better in real life.

I would kill somebody for a chili cheese that looks like that. Fuckers make the most pathetic tiny chilito ever around me. And have the audacity to charge like $3! Should be .79 like it used to be. It’s dog meat quality these days and tiny

20 years ago these were all over NYS, and they were amazing, but sadly, now they are no where in NYS, especially upstate NY. All over Ohio though, not sure why tf TB thinks people from Ohio will like them more than people from NYS.

me thinking if i would say 160 for this.. the others in comments saying its $4. id never pay 4, dont think id pay 2

  15. MrDuck5446

I miss it so much, I just found a TB an hour and fifteen minutes away from me across state lines but I’m seriously considering making that drive!

I used to love putting one inside of a bean burrito…don’t judge me

  16. AlwaysShamo

It finally came to our TB and it was so disappointing after how much hype I’d heard about it. The chili is hardly any different from the ground beef. Just get a beef and cheese burrito and it’s the same thing.

I think either you can only order it online or it’s just an item that’s not commonly known, because I’ve only encountered it once in my entire life.

That’s all I used to get when I was a teenager over 20 years ago, with a side of cheesy fiesta potatoes 😋.

This was on the menu for years and years, they called it the chilito. It was $0.99 on the 59/79/99 value menu. I was mad when they got rid of it, now even more annoyed to find out its back but nowhere near me

  20. Glum_Suggestion_6948

This is some bullshit. I’d eat the heck out of this.

  21. wolfenface

Used to get one everytime we went when I was a kid

  22. MagnetDude78

It’s mostly in the cooler climate areas. They used to call it a Chillito and it was under $1. I see it’s only $1.59 on your post. It’s double that in Minnesota and it’s not a very big burrito!

  23. d3m01iti0n

Haven’t seen one of these in New England since like 2008 when my buddy and I each ordered ten a piece.

It’s Taco beef with a tomato/chili sauce I’ve heard so will be making it at home soon.

  24. Gwynbleidd_z_Rivii

Idk but it’s super depressing not having it. I randomly caught it on a local franchise’s Uber eats menu once and got like five. Checked a week later and it was gone. (Broward Co., FL)

  25. secretaster

Why are prices different everywhere? We need to demand Maximum sales prices for all items like in India. No matter where you go in the country Oreos cost the same whether it’s the pharmacy the supermarket or the street.

  26. Ok-Bookkeeper-4828

$3.69 in Ohio. I can’t pay that price for it though 🙁

  27. DeathOfAPrince

It varies at locations, and in my area, we’re owned by a franchise that has the options for what stores can and can’t carry chili. We don’t though, (but the item is in our POS) but there are many stores that do. There’s even a website with a map of the locations that have this item.

  28. Built93cobra

Yeah they are $4 by me in STL. Lights out but guaranteed to shit your pants after eating
