Saw another post about visitors showing up. I caught these guys on my Anaheim pepper plant. I was about to winter my pants, getting down to mid 50s at night, but maybe I’ll let this one go.
Anyways, I think the bug is a hawk moth invested with parasitic wasps. Anyone have experience with these?

I saw the exact same thing in my garden this weekend. That was my hypothesis as well
It’s infested, not invested, FYI. Definitely agree with your conclusion!! Lucky you have them around 🙂
