3 Indian Chutney Sauce Recipes | Indian Cuisine | Street Food
In this video we are making 3 delicious Indian Chutney’s which are Indian sauces that go specifically with Indian Vada-Pav. You can of course use these delicious Indian sauces with curry’s and all kinds of other foods! These Chutney’s are part of the traditional Indian street foods and the ingredients used to make these Chutney’s will blow your mind.
Green chutney:
Ingredients:
3 green chilies
3 cloves garlic
2 handfuls coriandeis or 60g
1 handful mint or 20g
1/2 plus 1/4 tsp salt
Water- 1/3 cup
3 tbsp cashew nuts soaked in hot water
Chunk grated ginger
1/4 – 1/2 tsp cumin powder
Juice of half a lemon
Instructions:
To your blender youāre going to add the water followed by the coriander, mint , green chilies, grated garlic, grated ginger, and lemon juice cumin and salt and 3 tbsp of cashew nuts that have been soaked in hot water for 30 min discarding the water before adding to the blender. Blend until smooth!

Sweet chutney
Ingredients:
*1 cup medjool dates pitted
* 1/2 cup brown sugar
* 2 cups of water.
* ½ tsp cumin powder,
* 1 tsp red chili powder
* 1tsp dry ginger powder
* chunk freshly grated ginger
* 1 tsp salt
Instructions:
Boil all ingredients for 15 min. Your mixture should look like jam. then add 1/2 cup water back into the saucepan. Whisk together and cook for 1-2 minutes. Place into the blender and blend until smooth. If your blender isnāt strong you can add 1-2 tbsp of water.
Dry garlic chutney
Ingredients:
2 tsp oil
10 cloves garlic
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp salt plus 1/8 tsp
50 g Shredded dried coconut
1/3 cup Peanuts without skin
Instructions:
The first thing youāre going to do is add the cloves of garlic to the frying pan with oil. cook that for a few minutes until browned For about one minute.
When you see the garlic has slightly browned you going to add the peanuts, dried coconut, Chili powder, salt , and cook for About five minutes until the coconut and peanuts have toasted. Remove from the frying pan and let everything cool completely before adding it to your food processor. add some dry red chili flakes.
