Drive thru worker was in love with my copilot tonight, my lab. He had clean hands so no pets but mentioned an extra taco.

Was excited because I would feed the (one inhale) taco to my dog for them to enjoy.

    No dog taco was included.

I have gotten extras for my dog at multiple places in the past. I figured there was a chance.

Edit, story had to do with being nice. I’ve had the job so am always nice to fast food workers.

I was showered with 2 drinks I didn’t order yesterday because I got mad actually lol. I really don’t like getting heated especially with fast food workers. They got shit they’re dealing with and I hate confrontation.

Thing is I put in an order on the Taco Bell app, 15 dollar meal, for drive thru. I got there and the lady at the window insisted there was nothing she could do because the order was not on her system. I showed her the order on the app, the number and everything. She kept saying it must be doordash so she can’t do anything. Like okay I understand but I checked the app it says drive thru and my bank already charged me so I’m not leaving without food lol.

Parked. Went inside. Asked for a manager. Talked to them and explained the situation, I wasn’t proud of my tone I think it came out harsher than I wanted it to, I’ve just been super stressed this week with job application rejections. Anyway she asked for the order code, in the code and out popped the receipt. She immediately gives me two extra large drink cups. I thank her. Filled them and then just sat at a table and waited. They make my food and I left.

The whole time they were making it the drive thru girl kept arguing with the others that it had to have been for doordash.

Drive thru girl gaslit me into thinking I somehow did turn it on to delivery mode and I half expected to find another taco bell order on my door step when I got home lol.

Anyway not sure what went wrong with their system and the apps communication, hopefully that doesn’t happen anymore to anyone else. That’s really frustrating to deal with.

Don’t be like me, be kind to people.

I’d recommend it because of basic human decency, not because of free treats!

Also, most places still won’t give you anything for free or different than usual because they’re not supposed to. So don’t be nice expecting it.

  4. I mean I’m always kind regardless of the service I get sometimes to a fault. But my local Taco Bell is by FAR the worst fucking Taco Bell I’ve ever seen to and it takes a toll on a man…It’s like an abusive relationship because ofc I keep going back.

Last order it took me 40 minutes from online order to my cravings box in hands. Didn’t start making it until 35 minutes later. Whatever. But when I asked for my drink that comes with the cravings box THIS BITCH was on my case about how the drink isn’t there “but I’ll give it to you anyway”. Um no, you aren’t doing me a favor. You wasted my lunch by not touching my order for over a half hour and you’re giving me what I paid for. Congrats.

I remember once at the drive-thru, being behind this SUV full of people, and them having ordered a lot of food, and they were all going through it, yelling at the drive-thru person they forgot this, or did this wrong, only because the poor worker was still handing them bags of food. It seemed like they’d get handed a bag, scream something wasn’t in it, but it was in another bag. Finally the driver just screams something and hauls ass off.

When I got up to the window, I sympathized with the worker and smiled, thanking her for my order. She then tells me to hold up and hands me another bag. It turned out to be 3 steak quesadillas that the angry SUV drove off before getting.

I’m *always* nice to the workers, especially when I go in, even if they’re busy and it’s taking too long. They definitely remember people and most seem happy when someone treats them with good will.

Facts. All u have to do is be kind and respectful. Even when we make mistakes and people come to complain, as long as their nice, we do everything we can do to make it up and more if possible. And to the people who come back rude. Hmm.

Am a doordasher and I always see these rude dashers being entitled dog crap to restaurants. I have been doing it for three years and I get free shit *all the time* because they know me from being a decent human being. I often get “extra fries” or a free drink offered to me. I’m also a regular at my Panera bread in the am and they often give me my bagel free just because I’m a nice regular.

I try to be nice, but my anxiety makes me come off as a dick.
