When I go to Taco Bell, I feel as if the hard shell tacos have more ingredients than when I order the soft shell taco. So here I weighed the ingredients of hard shelled tacos and soft shelled tacos.
So over the past few months I have been weighing soft shell tacos and hard shell tacos. Now on average, I think the company makes sure the average is 3.5 for hard shell and 3.4 for soft. Now in this data, I have seen multiple outliers from I guess workers being lazy or other random variables.

Soft Tacos: 2.8, 3.0, 3.0, 3.0, 3.1, 3.1, 3.2, 3.2, 3.2, 3.3, 3.3, 3.4, 3.4, 3.5, 3.6
Hard Tacos: 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 3.4, 3.5, 3.5, 3.5, 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, 3.7, 3.8, 3.9, 3.9
On average Hard Shell Tacos have more ingredients in them. So if you don’t wanna get scammed buy hard shell tacos and wait for them to soften up over time.

My non scientific ass, having gone through the taco lovers pass and only missing one day of it, feels like I got the most out of the Soft Taco Supreme more than any other taco. YMMV
