Taco Bell

This feels unsafe

Got a BYOCB and my crunchwrap had what looks to be the expiration date from the wrapper printed over on the tortilla. I’d imagine it’s probably foodsafe ink? Regardless, I submitted a complaint. What do yall think?

I ended up ripping this part of the tortilla off and eating the crunchwrap anyways lol

There’s micro plastics in our blood… A little ink that got hear transfered isn’t going to hurt you lmao

  2. Marjory_Tea

Lol I probably wouldn’t eat it either, but then I’d laugh at myself because I’m still choosing to eat taco bell…the place that had to at some point declare that they actually were using filler in their meat and so much of it that they couldn’t actually say it was meat…sooo hahah. Still gross to see tho, hope you get a free reward or something

That crunchwrap looks like it’s about a quarter inch thick. The thing is getting to the point of self parody.

  4. SpokenDivinity

The ink they used for food packaging has to be non-toxic. It’s essentially just food coloring.

That’s a Crunchwrap?! At first glance, I thought it was an uncut quesadilla since it’s so flat. The ink on the tortilla shouldn’t be the only thing you complain about.

  6. PostComa

Posh! Cruchwraps add much-need roughage and essential inks!

  7. Most places use a laser that burns the code on using a series of little dots, like this one. Meaning it’s safe, just toasted.

  8. They’re just letting you know when you have to eat your crunchwrap by

I’ve had store bought tortillas with text on them & I’m still alive, so I think you’re good 👍

  11. Salt-Wound

Oh great now I have to pull my crunchwrap out and look at it!

Expires in 23-15-16. Don’t worry, it’s not even Dodecember yet. You’ve got 4 months left.

Yeah I just wouldn’t eat that part of the wrap. That crunch wrap is depressing. So thin, I always load mine up with extra beef fries and beans.

  14. Eh, I would eat it. Hell, if you get sick, sue 🙂

Just call get a different one free charge..if ur questioning it then u already have ur answer

  16. Different_Ad9336

Regardless of the ink being safe to consume this is stupid and unacceptable. Get a refund or a replacement. It would be ridiculous to just accept this. Like how did it get printed on, there are other questionable attributes about the entire situation.

Im gonna die from something alot worse than some food coloring stamp. Id eat right through it.

  18. mousesleep

    It’s safe.

We eat bits of plastic, fiberglass, cardboard dust/shreddings, particles of dead rodents/insects in our processed foods every day, 365 days a year!

Eat everything besides the barcoded section and get a whole extra one for free 😎💪

That was made strictly for You to eat and only You. Do not share… The Government will take a “shit samble”

  21. I mean, TBell uses PFAS wrappers. That’s significantly worse than food grade dye.

  22. “I ended up ripping this part of the tortilla off and eating the crunchwrap anyways” lol

  23. Just call back next time and have them make it again instead of putting a complaint. It’ll get you new food faster.

Also this does happen sometimes. They come from the factory like that

Eating Taco Bell but a little ink is unsafe… 👌

  25. klayface94

I guarantee it’s not the worst thing we’ve ingested from Taco Bell

  26. BangarangOrangutan

Bro you are eating Taco Bell, of course it’s unsafe. The ink is fine though, I wouldn’t worry about that if I were eating it.

  27. Extra_Napkins

I’ve eaten printed numbers and letters. You’ll be fine.

  28. Zito6694

Same thing can happen to McDonald’s hotcakes. It’s safe.

  29. newppinpoint

I’d talk to Pepper… I wouldn’t stand for something like that, even if it is safe. It’s just disconcerting

  30. jdcmurphy22

It’s just like the stickers on fruit, it’s safe.

  31. ConceptEquivalent989

Happened to me one time on a $2 burrito. They gave me a “get whatever you want for free next time your come” I got a taco 12 pack next time I went.

  32. Commercial-Plate-867

    Its food-grade dye. Completely safe.
