I am making Posole, my favorite December meal. I just ate the last of my navy bean soup topped with avocado. Mmmmmm I love winter soups for my comfort food.
Merry Vlogmas and Happy Winter Solstice all month long. I have been cleaning and decluttering out my house before holiday decorating.
Prices are jumping the last couple weeks. One price online, a lot higher when you open the item. Watch closely!
Beans:
1 cup dry beans (clean) in 1 qt jar. Fill with water. Place in refrigerator until they barely sprout. Drain, cook on low until soft. Use in any recipe. I start new beans every week with no stomach upset. This makes 3 cups cooked beans, 3 servings per week for me.
It removes lectins (hard on stomach) and increases nutrition.
I will make my favorite December soup tomorrow, Posole. I add a cup of beans to the last juice. Ditto vegetable beef soup and so on. Sometimes I freeze the soup liquid and add it a different day.
Mexican food is my favorite winter food! I make stir fry anything out of my garden all summer long. Yum.
Romeo is a chef, I happily eat peasant food.

What Ive learned about the difference about Home Depot and Lowes from my son, is Home Depot is rough lumber and Lowe's is more for finishing stuff like sided, trim and etc ( more detailed items)

That was definitely a California chili, looked more like a soup. Texas chili…no beans or you can add in….but so not ALL those veggies in real Texas Chili!
