I have this same question when it comes to just taco supremes. $3 a taco now. You can bundle these larger items for $5, but 3 taco supremes is $10 or more after tax. Those and quesadillas should be $1.50 max

They are just hoping you don’t notice lol

Why do they have to justify it? If it’s not worth it to you, don’t buy it.

Because most people don’t order off the app. Also what do you mean by “justify.” They don’t owe their customers low prices. When are people going to realize this. No business cares aboutnyou

It’s a loss leader for them. Gets you in the door and you either end up ordering a few more items or make changes which they charge for.

I think the main justification is “people will pay it” tbh! Nothing super deep.

5 dollar box and the dollar menu “hacks” are the only thing worth a damn on any fast food menu atm.

That burrito supreme looks way better than the ones I ever get.

There are two types of Taco Bell customers – those that play the min/max game, and those that just order what they want to eat without focusing primarily on price.

If you are trying to get the max food for the minimum price, get the box.

However, there are lots of people that just order what they want and pay what it costs.

Both types of customer can win at Taco Bell, which is pretty cool.

*They* don’t justify it, the customers do by continuing to pay for it

good luck actually finding a store that will even honor that 5 dollar box price, every taco bell in my area marks up these boxes 2 dollars, it will be 7 in my area.

They bank on the fact that you are going to cry about it on the internet for fake karma yet you still bought it for actual currency

A fucking chalupa is 5.99 in my area. It’s the most ridiculous shit.

After discovering the online exclusive create your own value box, I don’t see myself ordering anything else

They sell your digital information and track your location and sell that information as well.

Because they know people are stupid and will pay it

Not quite as outrageous, but if you get a Breakfast crunch wrap combo, it’s about $8 (wrap, drink and side). For $6 the Breakfast Box is a wrap, a drink and 2 sides. The crunch wrap alone is almost $5.

At least they are sort of rewarding loyalty / familiarity with the menu and deals. If you use the app and buy combos, you can get deals and discounts. If you just come in once in a while and order a la carte,

the cravings box is an incredible deal

  19. FueledByTerps

Suckers who don’t use the app and/or order ala cart.

If you had it, the $5 goes away next month so this really is just a small flex on a limited price.

Most people don’t look at prices at Taco Bell outside of this sub 🤷‍♂️

  21. caret_app

Why bring awareness to the cravings box is what I’m saying? Traitor!

  22. Bourneidentity61

Also I swear the burrito supreme has gotten way smaller. It’s the same size as the $2 burritos now, feel like it used to be a good bit bigger

I don’t care keep it to yourself please z i was wondering as well actually? Just a get us to use the app?
