Harissa Sauce

Harissa is a spicy and an aromatic chili paste that’s a widely used staple in North African and Middle Eastern cooking.

Harissa recipes vary between countries and regions, but a standard version includes a blend of hot chili peppers , garlic, olive oil and spices, like cumin, coriander, caraway . Tomatoes and garlic are also common ingredients.

This flavor-packed paste can be used to enhance soups, stews, appetizers and main dishes. Use it has a marinade for eggplant and paneer. Blend it into hummus, or any of your favorite dips.

Ingredients :-
7-8 Hot red peppers
1 Red pepper
1/2 tsp coriander seeds
1/2 tsp caraway
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 tomato
1 onion
4-5 garlic
1/2 lemon
3/4 tsp salt
2 tsp olive oil to preserve

Boil peppers or roast on stove
Remove pepper skin and seeds
Roast cumin seeds, caraway, coriander seeds
Grind roasted seeds to coarse powder
Grind peppers, seeds, tomato, onion, garlic , lemon, salt to paste
Harissa is ready to use in spread, other dishes, to marinate veggies and to add flavor in soup and dips.
