I just started using the Taco Bell app and I’m honestly SHOCKED there is a 5 dollar meal where you get that much food. It’s crazy to punish the non app users.

Haven’t even had the $5.99 box for at least two months:( I think it is now $7.99 for a BYOCB in my area. Do they not realize that shit like this is pushing customers away??? I used to go to TB at LEAST once a week when they had the $5(.99) boxes, now I go maybe two or three times a month *at most*, and it’s usually only to redeem a reward item or get a Happier Hour frozen drink (that they also raised the prices on…..)

There’s actually another version of this box as well there is one that comes with a taco on top of everything else, and it used to be 5 bucks not long ago. I think that one is only available now during special promotions. For now the the best deal is the 5.99 one.

Honestly, thank you for pointing this out. I felt like getting something to eat and not cooking and then got upsetti when I saw that they basically gutted their fire rewards selections on top of prices that will make your blood pressure spike. Will probably be the last time I go to taco bell for a long while sadly. They’re pretty close in price to some of the “made to order, fast food” mexican places that are much better in quality and value.

Taco Bell, just like every other chain…is trying to grow their digital business. Its a no brainer, when confronted with these 2 prices, which one to get. It annoys me that every store we shop at or eat at nowadays wants us to download an app. Its all about making the bottom line bigger and decreasing overhead. Also, less staff is required so it saves money. It behooves us all to learn to use the app.

When you build your own, certain items add more to the price. I bet if you added the same stuff it’d equal the same 10.99 price point.
I tested my hypothesis, and I stand corrected, price was 5.99 with all the same ingredients 🫣🫣🫣🫣 shame on them.
